MADISON, WI - July 02, 2018: SmartUQ, an uncertainty quantification and analytics software company, announced the addition of Doug Hollett, an expert in the energy industry, as a new advisor.
Hollett is currently President of Melroy-Hollett Technology Partners, a technology and strategy consultancy in the energy and aerospace sectors.
From 2011 to 2017, Hollett served in a series of leadership positions in the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), including Acting Assistant Secretary and Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Office of Fossil Energy and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Renewable Power.
Prior to the DOE, Hollett spent 29 years with Marathon Oil, including as Manager and Director for Unconventional New Ventures, Manager for International New Ventures, and Vice President and General Manager of Atlantic Canada.
He is a member of the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) Energy Advisory Committee in Australia; Technical Advisor to FERVO Energy, a California geothermal company; and Senior Consultant – Energy with Nova Systems in Adelaide, Australia.
Hollett holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geology from Williams College, and a Master of Science in Geology from the University of Utah.
