MADISON, WI-July 12, 2018:SmartUQ was selected on Wednesday as a finalist for the 2018 Wisconsin Innovation Awards (WIA). SmartUQ and thirty-thirty other finalists were chosen by a panel of 21 statewide industry experts. The finalists were selected out of 357 nominated businesses, products and services from around Wisconsin. The nominations represented large, medium and small companies, startups, and established businesses in nearly all industries.
SmartUQ is a powerful uncertainty quantification and advanced engineering analytics software tool that incorporates real world variability and probabilistic behavior into the analysis of complex systems.
Using cutting-edge technologies, SmartUQ software accelerates design cycles, improves design robustness, and maximizes insight of complex system by quantifying uncertainty, said Peter Chien, SmartUQ Chief Scientist.

The WIA is an annual event that showcases innovators throughout the state of Wisconsin for their transformational ideas. The award ceremony is open to the public and will be held on October 3, 2018 at the Wisconsin Union Theater in Madison.
