Cutting Edge Machine Learning Software Webinar: Introduction to SmartUQ 11.1 Release

Thu, May 14, 2026 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM CDT

SmartUQ is a powerful AI, Machine Learning (ML) and Uncertainty Quantification (UQ) software tool optimally designed for science and engineering applications. With new tools and improvements, SmartUQ 11.1 continues to deliver unique sampling capabilities, powerful machine learning tools, and easy to use analytics to help customers solve previously unsolvable problems. For building ML models for simulation, digital twins, testing, and other engineering applications, SmartUQ delivers industry-leading prediction accuracy, flexibility, computational speed, and scalability. These advantages are trusted by numerous Fortune 500 engineering companies and startups across all major engineering fields. In this webinar SmartUQ principal application engineer, Gavin Jones, will highlight the latest capabilities and benefits in SmartUQ 11.1, including • Varying geometry emulator (for geometric machine learning problems) now supports non-parametric inputs, i.e. mesh data. • New acquisition function and stopping criteria options for Bayesian optimization • New guided approach to Bayesian optimization for situations where SmartUQ cannot be directly linked to the data collection process, e.g. when data is collected from experiment. • New prior distribution options for Bayesian calibration. This webinar will provide an overview of SmartUQ followed by a discussion and demonstration of the new features within SmartUQ Version 11.1. The session will conclude with Q&A.

Presented by Gavin Jones, Principal Application Engineer
Gavin Jones serves as a Principal Application Engineer at SmartUQ, where he is responsible for performing simulation and AI work for clients in the automotive, aerospace, defense, semiconductor, and other industries. He is a member of the SAE Chassis Committee as well as the AIAA Digital Engineering Integration Committee. Gavin is also a key contributor in SmartUQ’s Digital Twin/Digital Thread initiative.
